"Discomfort Design" investigates the study and use of discomfort in communication design. As a book that collects all my thesis capstones and essay, the book itself also stand as a capstone project to explore the possibilities for the use of discomfort in publication design.

It should be read from back to front and right to left. To control the discomfort level, when you open the book, you can see the instruction and the "Is it the first page?" sign to tell you how to read the book and where to start. When flipping the book, slight slopes of the sides of the papers change while the sections change. The slight slopes could give people a different and strange feeling when touching it.
